Yummy sausage rolls :)

Tonight I made my yummy sausage rolls. Everyone loves them, so I know that it's something that everyone will eat. It can be hard to please everyone!  They are one of the great ways that I can hide the vegies! :)

Ingredients
500 g mince
1 carrot grated
1 florret of broccoli grated
1 onion grated
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 egg
Small amount of parsley & sage cut up
salt & pepper to season
2 sheets of puff pastry
1 extra egg to egg wash pastry

Directions
Mix all ingredients together.
Cut the sheets of puff pastry in half.
Place the mince mixture in logs in the four sections of puff pastry
Egg wash the edges of the each section pastry and join edges together
Place on a baking paper lined oven tray
Egg wash the tops of the puff pasty
Place in an 180 C oven (160 C fan forced) for 20-25mins

Take out of oven, smother in tomato sauce and enjoy! YUM!

Not only great to eat, but a great recipe for kids to help make!

  1. Delicious! I love homemade sausage rolls- we make them at Christmas and add chopped up dried apricots and a sprinkle of nutmeg- just to be a little more christmassy....You'll never know that there were apricots in them but they add to flavour- a must try for christmas snack.
